CTS-71.
Backend engineering for CTS-71, the Combat Management System Training System, an Indian Navy project at Tata Advanced Systems Limited.
200+ RESTful APIs · 10+ simultaneous WebSocket connections.
Many consoles. One shared scenario.
Backend architecture for the Combat Management System Training System. Keeping trainee consoles and the simulation server in step.
Shared scenarios · WebSocket synchronization
200+ RESTful APIs and 10+ simultaneous WebSocket connections, built around a shared training experience.
Give complex training scenarios a dependable backend.
I engineered the Node.js backend powering the simulation engine. More than 200 RESTful APIs handled complex user data and training scenarios.
- Node.js backend architecture
- 200+ RESTful APIs
- User data and training-scenario operations
Keep the consoles in step with the simulation.
I implemented WebSockets to manage more than 10 simultaneous low-latency connections between trainee consoles and the simulation server. Request-driven operations and live synchronization served different needs within the same training system.
- 10+ simultaneous connections
- Console-to-server synchronization
- REST operations alongside WebSocket communication
Make the backend work within the larger system.
I collaborated with cross-functional teams to integrate the simulation backend with existing naval training infrastructure. The scope extended beyond individual endpoints to how the backend fit into the complete training workflow.
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Integration with existing infrastructure
